Do you remember the Clog Palace?The Clog Palace was the place to go in the 1980s and 1990s in the Washington, D.C. area for listening to and dancing to Appalachian old-time string band music. There was a lot of eating, drinking, and socializing, too, as I recall. It was held in a few places over the years, but is most known for its time at Captain White's Oyster Bar on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland. I would like to compile memories of the Clog Palace and The Daily Clog from people who were there. Want to help?
